Not sure what to say?

What a funny, knowledgeable, amazing person. I remember him working in the City of Mobile Legal Department in always knew I was in for a treat because he was going to dispense a bevy of information that was fascinating and little know facts. Glad to have met such a gentleman and a scholar.

My parents moved to Catherine Place in March of 2010. Mr. Bill was very welcoming. Dad and and Bill hit it off right away. It was a pleasure to see Bill so active and engaged, always reading or listening to music or singing along to the Piano. He lead a full life. Sorry for your loss.

My sincere condolences to Buddy and all the Lauten family. Bill was a friend, a very competent and helpful co worker and a good actor. Al St Clair

It was an honor to have Bill as an interviewee for the Fairhope Public Library's Veterans History Project.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

What a great loss.. he gave so much to all around him, shared his many talents. I am proud to say I knew Mr.Lauten from serving him while I worked at the Terminal Restaurant, downtown Mobile. He was always very
polite and sincere. The world is a better place because he was in it.
R.I.P. Mr. Lauten.
