Although David was a very good judge, he had real musical talent, and he wasn't afraid to share it. He and I played the fiddle and banjo several times at judges' conferences. As a junior colleague, it was encouraging to see that judges thrive when they maintain hobbies, like music. Importantly, the music with David was always punctuated with large amounts of laughter and story-telling. I will miss him greatly.

I got to know Judge Lee when he chaired the Dispute Resolution Commission. What an outstanding jurist and person. I will really miss that smile. I will try to be like Judge Lee as I age.
