Not sure what to say?

To all the Leichts,
I am so sad that you have lost your Dad, Uncle Bill. I felt very close to both Aunt Ann and Uncle Bill and have such fond memories growing up with your family. He was such a good friend and comfort to my Mom after she moved into the Loudonville home. I will always remember his true love for Aunt Ann and his family. His smiles, jokes and fun loving nature brightened and blessed so very many people. He is definitely bowling 300 games now with Aunt Ann and...

Ray and the Leicht family, Just learned yesterday of your dad's passing as I was out of town earlier in the week. Please forgive my absence, you dad was a great supporter in all of your endeavors and I am sure you will all miss him deeply. My sympathies on behalf of my entire family.

Bill,
So sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I remember him fondly as the coach of our CYO hoop team that we played on together with other VI classmates, Jimmy Donohue, Nick Tersesi, George Motler, Mark Keegan etc. Your dad was a very fair, kind and generous man, who somehow found the time to coach so many of us, and raise a large family at the same time. I'm sure he must have been a great role model for you, growing up.

Best Regards

Dearest Bill and Dottie,

Bill you just told me, today, about your Dad's death and Lou and I wanted to express our deep love for both you and Dottie and to also tell you that we're really sorry for you lose and for your pain. We know that you and your whole family are hurting right now, but you also told me not to be sad for you since you were rejoicing that your Dad was no longer suffering and he was with our Father, Jesus in Heaven right now. So, with that said, we send you our love...

To the entire Leicht Family,
Soon your sadness and sorrow will
turn into sweet memories.
In Sympathy & Love,

On a lovely day in October, 2003 I was going for a walk in the Corning Preserve when I came across a man in a Red Sox cap. Expressing my hope that they'd beat the Yankees in the ongoing playoffs, this stranger and I had a talk for a half an hour that I still remember for its humor and passion . As I had to leave to go back to work I asked his name and only then found out that he was the father of a dear friend of mine from church, also named Bill. I only met the elder Mr. Leicht two times,...
