Will and Family -

A wonderful tribute to your Dad and the times. I'm sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace and take his place with the rest of the old Uncasville gang. I know my uncle Jim Meehan will be glad to see him!

Sue and Will, What a wonderful tribute to your dad and to all our dads and moms of the old clan! I remember you all well and fondly. Mom and Dad are also gone....Dad in 1974 and Mom in Jan. 2009. You have honored them all well by this beautiful story. Love, Jeanne
(Richard is in Ga, Robert in NJ, and I am in FL.)

What a beautiful tribute! Brought tears to my eyes.

I do not know your dad nor do I know any of his family. I was reading Obits and read this beautiful story about your dad. My dad was in the service. Our dad lied about his age to get in and serve his counrty. Like your dad he did not speak much about the war. We learned many things after his death. He was not a cook on the ships. He was front line, a Marine.
Your story moved me to write and say. You make him proud. Keep his legacy alive and pass it down through generations.
