Not sure what to say?

Oh, Billy, I remember spending so many adventures with you, from 1st grade right thru 12th grade. Making forts in the woods, fishing, sledding down a couple of dangerous snow covered roads, doing homework together, and I could go on and on. About 5 years ago I drove thru our old neighborhood and stopped in front of your house. Yes, I could see you coming out to play. I live and miss you. So often, when I need help making a decision, I think, what would Billy think or do. I am sure we will...

I recall Bill often since his passing in April 2011, as it reminds me of the frailty of life and my own passing years. We knew each other as co-workers or then as professional colleagues for over 25 years. Bill was my boss at one point in the 1980s, and we were co-authors of an important technical publication. We last saw each other at his company in November 2010; he still had my business card of that time on his desk when he passed.

Billy has been my best friend for the past 64 years, and still is. Billy, I think of you often, and whenever I have a difficult or complicated decision to make, I think, what would you do? I hope your kids are fine. Let them know I am here for them if they ever need an ear to talk to. Love you Billy. Eddie Roberts.

Bill was a great boss and inspirational mentor to me early in my career. We co-authored one peer reviewed publication in 1988.
Fortunately, I had the opportunity to meet with him just a few months ago.

Dr. Lights Family.

I met Billie in 1st grade 55 years ago and he has been my best friend since then. He and I got together just about every day after school, when we were kids. I remember all of his model planes and ships that were very elaborate. He spent hours and hours assembling them, and, that discipline followed him thru the rest of his life, making him successful in everything he ever attempted. I remember his baseball card collection. While we all played games with them and put them on our bicycle...

Bill was a brilliant human, and his home was my second home since the age of 12 when I found my best friend in his daughter, Emily (Melilator) and even got myself an adopted brother, Evan (my truuuue friend)!

He always treated me like family, took me along to my first sushi dinner and even a road trip to send my best friend to San Francisco to start school.

He played a pivotal role in my pre-teen and teen years. Growing up, he let Em and I use his label maker to create...

I remember Bill as very decent and fair man. It was a pleasure to work for/with him. He enjoyed the membrane biz and took pride in his work. We all enjoyed his neatly arranged desk.

My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.
