Not sure what to say?

I miss Bill´s gentle intelligence and kindness.

I am so sorry for the loss of William. After many, many years, we met at a job interview in PA and had a chance to talk just a bit. We never knew each other well, but I went to Holy Name with Linda, his sister. We were in distant contact one other time, after meeting in PA, but we lost contact.

I will keep you in my prayers and will remember William fondly.

We just learned of Bill's death today, and were very saddened to hear of it. A close friend of his at Providence College, we lost contact for a long while due to my travels. But, I saw him again at Westfield State a number of years ago. Still the same laugh, and banter. Left me with a bear hug I won't forget.
Rest in Peace!

Cheryl & family,
My deepest condolences.

My guest entry should have read "mine" instead of "mind." Dr. Lopes would have noticed! JBG

Bill (Billy) Lopes, even as Dr. Lopes, was always a member of the great Holy Name alumni family. His family extended great kindness to mind which I shall never forget. He was an elegant, smart, progressive guy who left us too soon.

The Bergantini Family will not forget

To the Lopes family:
My condolences on the passing of Bill. I am so sorry for your loss. So sad to lose him, so young. May happy memories help to carry you through this sad time.

Dear Joe & The Entire Lopes Family.

I was terribly saddened to learn of Bill's passing. I remember growing up with Bill and Joe while attending Holy Name School. I also had the good fortune to see Bill several years ago at a neighborhood reunion. He was the same humble guy with ever present smile that I remembered from my youth.

I'll remember Bill and all of his family in my prayers.

To the Lopes Family:

Bill and I were classmates at LaSalle and Providence College. My condolence on your loss. May warm memories sustain and may God's grace comfort you. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
