Not sure what to say?

I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with your dad. He had a beautiful smile and a wonderful way of making everyone feel so special. He has left many gifts behind and will always be with you. And for that you are truly "Luckey". We are praying for you and have scheduled a mass to be said for him next year on 7-9-14 at our church. Love, Rhonda, Trevor and kids

I met Bill Luckey when Beth and I were in graduate school together. He was always charming, quick with a smile and knew all the latest Carolina stats! He was light on his feet too --- one of my best memories is of dancing with him at my wedding. He was a dear and wonderful man and I know he will be missed. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to know him and so very sorry for your loss.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I worked with Bill at UPS and considered him a good friend. He will be missed. Please accept my deepest condolences. My family and I will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

50 years ago this fall I was in grad school at Chapel Hill. Gloria called to say she was coming down from Charlotte with friends to a game and asked to come by afterwards . She wanted me to meet a "friend" she was dating. Taking me aside ,as we celebrated a tar heel win, she asked me what I thought of Bill.

He's a KEEPER.

50 years later, he's a KEEPER! Goodbye to a gentle man.

Bill and I worked together for many years at United Parcel Service and it was a special time for me. We also kept in touch during retirement. While working at UPS Bill told me the password he used was “Not So”. Well, Bill was lucky and I was lucky to know him. Based on his struggles of late he is now in a better place. My sincere regrets to his family.

So sorry to hear about Bill's passing. I remember Bill from Manuel Primm's store in Triangle, NC. (Families would gather there to visit) Bill was indeed special and everyone that met him never forgot him! R.I.P.
