I'm so grateful for our friendship and the opportunity we took to get together in March. Although it had been 25 years since we had been together it took less than two minutes to recognize the life long bond we had developed so many years ago. Our life endangering trips to and from Shelter island in your old Lund in 3-5 foot seas and running out of gas in a storm aboard "The Raven" and the early morning trip to get Kaiser rolls for the Hot Bite are many of my favorite memories. Always fun,...

It was with profound sadness that I learned of the premature passing of my old friend Bill Luedke. Bill and I worked at Eaglecrest for ten concurrent years and I got to know him well enough to say he was not only among the hardest working people I've ever encountered but also among the most likable. Bill was not shy about telling or laughing at an off-color joke but at the same time was devoted to his family and expressed that in ways one seldom hears nowadays. He several times told me how...

Bill may be gone from sight but never from my heart & mind where his infectious laughter is indelibly etched forever. It hurts to see bill's name in the obits today. we had more fun back then would be legal today. i've vivid memories of bill & me fishing the Bread line - N. Douglas & S. Shelter island in his well used Lund. going flying, partying & volunteer @ KTOO pledge events. the Thunder of Thunder Mountain is gone. A man of his word he's taken our special secret with him. Thank you Bill.

Bill & I worked together on the pipeline. He followed me back to Juneau, and we were roommates for a few years. He was the BEST! I'm not ready for him to be gone, but knowing how Bill lived his life, he left this world with no regrets. My heart goes out to Kim and the boys, and everyone else who loved Bill as I did.

WAY, WAY, WAY too soon Brah! You only just got to the place everyone works their whole life to get to. You were the BEST friend (and brother) anyone could ever have; you always made your own way, but never hesitated to help anyone in need along the way, and always enjoyed everything about your family, friends and life around you. Wherever you were; whatever you were doing, you made everything better. You embodied all the best qualities a human being is supposed to have. Your (very) untimely...

What a great guy! Always had time to chat with you even with the craziness of being eaglecrest´s food service manager , he handled it with total aplomb and he made a damn good hamburger and cinnamon roll ! You are missed

Sooo many wonderful memories of Bill! He lived life well, radiated his "can do" attitude to any problem, and was always proud of his family. From Shepard Avenue in Milwaukee to Juneau AK, his family and his home were the keys to his good life.
