Dear Mary,
I am saddened by your loss. Geoff was a big part of all of our early days at Shadow Valley. I always enjoyed playing doubles with Geoff as my partner.
The interaction through tennis made us all better players and provided a greater insight into ourselves.
I will remember Geoff for his warm smile and his deep devotion to you and his family.

My heart aches for you and your family Mary. Geoff was a kind and gracious man with a sweet and warm smile. I was privileged to have met him in recent years and wish I had known him forever. I know you, your boys, and extended family will miss him terribly. May the Lord care for him and hold him dear. God Bless.

My heart is broken at the thought of Geoff being gone, and for you Mary, your boys, and all of your and Geoff's extended family. I didn't know Geoff for long, but long enough to experience how very special a man he was - kind and gracious, always holding that sweet smile. May the Lord hold him near and dear. He will clearly be missed by so many. God Bless.

Mary,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss! I had heard several months ago that Geoff was ill, but I had not heard any news in awhile. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing just today and to have missed the memorial service.
Geoff was one of the most class acts I have ever met. He was just an all around nice guy and so incredibly knowledgeable about so many things! Yet he was never a 'know-it-all' or made anyone feel inferior to him because of his breadth of knowledge...

Geoff was a class act. I haven't seen him since our days of college hijinks with Jimmy Coakley, but I have a vivid memory of Geoff as a leader, a guy whose finely honed Jesuit-influenced heat-seeking sarcastic sense of humor was a rare match for Jimmy's. I knew he'd have a successful life in business and family and he sure did. God bless him. My condolences to Mary and the family.

Dear Lydens, Lisa and I are so sad that we cannot be with you in Toledo to celebrate Geoff's life but so glad to have had him in our life. When Mary offered me a chance to say goodbye to my old friend, I wrote him the following. "Our friendship was so rare, and our childhoods equally rare. My sense of adventure, humor, courage and charity were all forged through this fortunate alliance. I so proud of the man you became, so proud of your life's accomplishments and so proud to tell people...
