Not sure what to say?

William Maher was an alumni of our local college (Jackson College in Jackson, Michigan). I met him 15 years ago when we interviewed him for the Veteran's History Project. I knew no one in the town, as I had newly moved here from Detroit. Bill knew everyone. Bill called all of his friends to come and help our dear students with this project. They came because they knew, respected, and loved their friend. In the middle of the interview, he reached across the table and grabbed my...

I met Bill for the first time at the CNAC Assoc. reunion in Albuquerque, NM in the early 2000's. I was invited to that reunion by Fletcher "Christy" Hanks, who wanted my help in finding CNAC #58 (which I found in 2005). Bill immediately reminded me of my dad and his many fine friends from The Greatest Generation. I instantly liked Bill. My father inspired me. I miss him every day.

Bill - Just wanted to thank you for including me in the CNAC Family. Bill's CNAC page: www.cnac.org/maher01.htm

Peggy, Patty & Linda: I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. For the short time that I knew him, he was an incredible man! I loved his stories he shared with me regarding his flying with the CNAC as he directed me to his photos hung in his office.

Sorry to read of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Peggy,
I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing this week. How very sad to lose both parents so close together. I was in homeroom with you at Jackson High and had NO idea of the history of you parents - only of our lives and what went on in our teen years at Jackson High. You and your sisters should be so proud of the accomplishments of both of your parents. I am so sorry for your loss of both of them this year.

Hope to see at our 50th class reunion (2014),
Kay...

Peggy & Family:

So sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Losing our parents is so hard.

Your friend Patty

Peggy, Patty & Linda,
My condolences. I have many happy memories of times with your family; including Saturday chili dogs and pig roasts at the farm. My Dad will miss Bill very much; they had a wonderful run together, in business and as friends.
