Not sure what to say?

Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time of grief. Bill was a wonderful man that was like a dad to me. I worked with him at Sears and he always keep the place happy, even when the mowers were killing us. He will be greatly missed and thought of through the years.

Bill was so much fun to be around and a great guy to work with at Sears these past 30 years. He was a very special friend. We will never forget his quick wit, his generous kindnesses and his loving ways. He was one of the best laundry technicians that Sears ever put in a truck. We miss him so much... God bless you Suzi, Heinz and family. Our prayers and thoughts for peace are with you.

Bill was a caring and compassionate man and a true ambassador for the cycling community. I'm proud to be one of his many friends. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Bill will be missed.

Bill was a 'poster man' for bicycling. Worked with him on the Spring Classic and experienced his kindness and fun-loving spirit. The Lighthouse Group will all miss him.

Bill was one of our favorite patients. We all looked forward to have come in. He made us all smile with his sense of humor and upbeat personality. We all loved him dearly and he will be missed greatly.

Bill was an unforgettable man. It was a rare individual with whom you could have the full range of conversations... from serious to silly; from boisterous to quiet; from hurried to slow paced. I will miss him. I knew him from his passion for cycling.

I had a lot of fun riding with Bill over the years both on RAGBRAI and on the Blast. I never heard him say an unkind word toward anyone. Knowing what a courageous, loving person he was takes some of the sting out of his death. I'm better for having known him and he will be dearly missed but NEVER forgotten.

I met Bill at Quik Trip, literally. It was during his wife's illness when he wasn't able to ride very often. He spotted my bike and struck up a conversation. We discovered we had many riding friends in common. When he started to ride again, I became better acquainted and always enjoyed visiting with him. He was such a kind, encouraging, and positive presence on our rides. I will miss him.

Sincere condolences to Bill's family. His friends in the bicycling community will greatly miss him.
