Not sure what to say?

It is with great sadness that I have, just today, learned of the death of Dr. Martel.
He was my teacher and mentor first as a resident, and then as his fellow.
He represented all that I aspired to be as a radiologist and teacher and I have never lost the sense that what I accomplished professionally I owed to him. I am better for knowing him.
I had not seen him since leaving Ann Arbor in 1972 until I visited him when back for the reunion last summer. It was a very difficult,...

Lisa, So sorry to hear of the loss of your father. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Much time since we communicated has gone by. However, when I learned of your father's passing, I wanted to pay my respects and say that I remember him well and that he was always proud of his children. My thoughts are with the Martel family. Allen and Olivia Samuels

We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of Bill Martel. All those years ago when we were all young and worked so hard to make the department what it is today. It seems like yesterday. Please know that your parents were fine people, and we respected them very much.]

Pam and family: So sorry for your loss. Treasure the wonderful memories. Blessings and prayers.

Dear Lisa and family,
I remember your dad well from our school days at Newport through U of M and then later seeing him in the halls at UM hospital. He always spoke so fondly of his family. I remember the day he told me you were pregnant with twins!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and all the family during this time.

Love,
Patsy

Bill and Sala in Glacier Hills Garden

Bill or "Doc" as we sometimes referred to him was one of my favorite people to see at Glacier Hills, I will not forget his sly smile or the many times we took the bus out for ice cream and sweets which he so enjoyed. I have also had the pleasure of getting to know Sala his wonderful companion who truly loved Bill as if he was her own grandfather. He will be missed.

To Pam and family,
My heart goes out to you Pam. I met your father once when we were still at Bursley Hall. What a wonderful and accomplished man. I'm sure he was proud of you.
Your old friend,
Diane Cupps

Thoughts and prayers are with you Pam and your entire family.
