Not sure what to say?

Mr. Martin was by far my favorite teacher at WPHS. I loved going to English every day. He would let us tell stories in front of the class, but would correct us if we used the word 'like'. "it's a verbal tick!" he would say. I'm so glad I had a chance to be his student. Deepest sympathies to his family. He was a truly wonderful teacher and man.

Class of '97

Shoulders back chest out chin up, speak to the back row, belt it out, climb the walls, is how I'll remember Mr. Martin my ninth-grade speech and health teacher. He is without a doubt the most influential educator of my life, whether it was acting under his direction as a teenager or kayaking with him and my teenage sons, he had a sense of sophistication that could not be ignored. Bill influenced many aspects of my life, physical fitness, health, vocabulary and the importance of pronunciation,...

My thoughts and prayers are with you Mrs.Martin. I will miss him and his great smile. He was always in a happy mood whenever he came into Kroger's. He always made my day brighter.

My sympathy goes out to you Mrs. Martin. His legacy does live in my memories of him inspired my daughter to be on her schools speech team and she went to state every year for 4 years and was the highest earning member of high school speech team in the history of her school. I personally had you for 7th grade and Mr. Martin for speech and government in high school class of 1985.

Mrs. Martin,
I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Martin's death. He was such a
kind man and a wonderful teacher. Please know that you are with us in our thoughts and prayers and that Mr. Martin will always be in our hearts. His legacy will live on in all of us who were fortunate enough to have him as our teacher.Sturgis has lost a great man.

I was in Mr. Martin's class in High School back in 1993. He was my favorite and most remembered teacher. My sister and I would sit for hours just laughing at all the fun we would have in speech class. He is going to be very missed by both my sister and I.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Mrs. Martin. We were saddened to hear of your loss. We were both students of Mr. & Mrs. Martin, and fondly remember them both as being some of the best teachers we encountered at WPHS. We will always have good memories, and will cherish all that we learned from you both.

Former student of Mr. Martin's and his wife in the 1970's.
