Not sure what to say?

I visited Mary Massida on July 11, 2024. I was so saddened to learn Bill had passed. The visit turned sad into joy! Mary is well. Her mind is clear and full of ALL her memories! Not only if her life with Bill and the boys, but also of the Friendship with my Mom and Dad, Frank and Mary Sottile. The stories and joy of Frank and Bill together are truly carved into my heart. God bless all you knew them.

Dear Massidda Family, How saddened we all were to hear of Bill´s passing. He was such a wonder husband, father and friend. He loved those NY Giants and I can remember going to the Meadowlands to watch a game, but also to enjoy a Huge tailgating feast. Bill loved to cook! One time we were all up at the Coop and there was Bill sweating bullets as he stirred that huge pot of polenta, cooking over that old black stove. That evening ended with another of Bill´s love ,singing "Hail,Hail, the Gang´s All...

Bill is fondly remembered by many members of St.Cecilia Choir who date back to those happy times making beautiful music together and enjoying his wonderful Italian cooking at our gatherings. Although he has been apart from us since retirement to York, Maine, to this day our choir director invokes Bill´s name should we lack energy in our musical performance. Bill was never lacking in that department! So sing on, Bill. The heavenly choir can always use another energizer in the Tenor...

Every time it rains, I think of Bill. "If we didn´t have rain, we would live in a desert". A true world changer. He was 25 years ahead of me in his life insurance career. I always wanted to be like him when i "grew up". I loved his talks. He wouldn´t start until everyone sang

Mary, I´m so sorry th hear about Bill. He was a great guy! We are in Switzerland right now but able to access MassLive on our IPad. We will keep both of you in our prayers. MaryLou (Sitnik) Sanderson
