William Donald “Billy” Mattern, age 14, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018.
Billy was a ninth grade student at Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, where he was a member of the Track and Field team and the Fishing Club.
Billy had a huge heart and was loved by everyone.
He is survived by his parents: William and Jennifer Mattern; sisters: Keegan Mattern and Caitlyn Mattern; paternal grandparents: Donald and Dena Mattern; maternal grandparents: John Lien and Debby Lien; great uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd, Slidell LA, from 12:00 noon until 1:00pm.
A Funeral Mass will begin at the church at 1:00pm.
