William J. Maurer

MAURER – William J., 63, of Clifton, passed away on November 22, 2015. Born in Bronx, New York, Mr. Maurer was raised in Paterson and has resided in Clifton for over 35 years. Before his retirement, Mr. Maurer was employed as an installer from 1979 to 2010 with Honeywell Security Systems of Wood-Bridge (now known as Stanley, Black & Decker). Mr. Maurer was an avid New York Yankees and New York Rangers fan. He volunteered his time as a coach with the Clifton Northern Division Little League for many years. Survivors include: his beloved wife, Denise (nee DeGeyter) Maurer; three loving daughters, Danielle Beazley and her husband, Christopher of Totowa, Nicole Rourke and her wife, Ashley of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and Ashley Gaccione and her husband, Joseph of Clifton; three grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Christopher and Mackenzie Beazley, Adalynn Gaccione and a fourth, Santino Gaccione due this winter; his siblings, Linda Tomasi and her husband, George of San Diego, CA, Beth Smith of Bel Air, MD, Christine Thrasher and her husband, John of San Diego, CA and Michael Maurer and his wife, Geraldine of Oakland, NJ. He was the cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews and a beloved friend to many. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 10:00 am at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm.
