Not sure what to say?

We are remembering Bill today with our love and appreciation for his treasured friendship, and we are thinking and praying for Linda and the family in their experience of loss of their loved one.

Rufina and I are really going to miss Bill, spent so many wonderful days out birding and naturizing with him. He was a kind and gentle man who contributed a lot to our bird/nature hikes over the years, partly through his birding and photography expertise, but mostly as a great trip leader, companion and friend. We love you Bill, rest in peace.

Dear Linda: So Sorry to learn of Bill's passing and that I couldn't join you and the family and friends today to celebrate all the many good things both of you have done for our community! Bill went from one volunteer job to the next, accomplishing each with skill, candor and pleasant attitude. If you had a job you wanted done right, he was your man. We will all miss him but none more than you. My thoughts and prayers are with you through the coming busy days.

My deepest sympathy to Bill's family and many friends. He will be missed. He and his wife Linda have given generously of their time and talent to the Huntsville community for many years. I had the honor of knowing Bill during my time with the OLLI at UAH program, and he and Linda were important parts of providing a wonderful educational opportunity to the over-50 age group.

My deepest condolences go out to Professor McAllister’s family and all his loved ones on the very sad news of his death. Bill was an amazing human being, an amazing educator and an amazing mentor who always motivated me to give my best. I learned a lot from him while I was studying for my undergraduate degree in Urban Planning back in 1990 to 1992. RIP my dear mentor.

I always enjoyed dancing with Bill at contra dances. I also talked with him regularly at the UAH University Fitness Center. He will be missed.

Great professor!

Dr. McAllister was encouraging and caring. He will be greatly missed.
