Not sure what to say?

Doc, There will never be a man as respected as you were. You were my COB on the Lincoln and also the reunion leader for some of the best reunions I have ever attended. Rest in Peace My Friend, Harold R. Abney EM2(SS) USS Abraham Lincoln SSBN 602B (1969-1971)

Great Chief. Became Green Crew shipmates!

Deeply sorry to hear of Doc´s passing. He and Weezie were a wonderful and influential couple in the submarine community. Doc was a significant influence in my life and my future career as a young enlisted submarine sailor many years ago. I was blessed to have known him and Weezie both. I hope to serve with him again.

GOD BLESS our "Brother of the Phin" as Doc has and always gone beyond his duties to serve us "bubbleheads". Bless his family and provide comfort to their souls knowing he will be welcome by GOD to his kingdom!

Rest in Peace Shipmate

A true friend and Shipmate, a great COB. Enjoyed our talks about the Sea Raiders softball teams. When visiting Groton I would stop at the Fleet where I knew I would find Doc and Weezie watching the horses run and we would reminisce about our time on the Lincoln. A well lived life indeed. Rest gently COB.

Rest Well on Calm Waters Shipmate.
