William C. "Bill" McCarson

William C. “Bill” McCarson, 71, of Paris, Texas, who served with the U.S. Navy in Kanoi Bay, Hawaii, a Coach and Athletic Director and later a State Farm Insurance Agent in Paris, passed away at Christus St. Joseph’s Hospital on Thursday, March 30, 2000, after a courageous battle with cancer. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, 2000, 7-8 p.m., at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home, 730 Clarksville Street, Paris. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, April 2, 2 p.m., at First United Methodist Church of Paris, officiated by the Rev. Doug Miller. Friends are invited to a reception following the services in the church fellowship hall. Interment rites are scheduled for Monday, April 3, 11 a.m., at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Ardmore, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the building fund of First United Methodist Church, 322 Lamar Avenue, Paris, TX 75460.
