William Henry McDermott

I have been able to think of little else but the McDermott family over the last days. What a wonderful man and a great loss! My heart aches for you all. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Mike Kelley Cooper

Bill was our family attorney for number of years.The last time I saw Bill was at Mardi Gras 1998, we sat at the same table in the Admiral Semmes.Bill was a good man.

Mr. McDermont was a good man and will be sadly missed, he helped our family through a diffcult time with our loved one and was always their to listen and lend a hand. May God bless your Family and be with them always.

What wonderful memories I have of Judge McDermott. Through childhood into my adult years I have nothing but the greatest love and affection for him. He's left behind an incredible legacy for his family, whom I hold near and dear to my heart. God bless you Mr. McDermott and may you rest in everlasting peace.

I met Judge McDermott around 1968, when he was City Attorney for the City of Chickasaw and I was a young attorney representing defendants in the Chickasaw Recorder's Court. Judge McDermott was always soft spoken, cordial and fair in his interpretation of the law, which was an encouragement to me as a young lawyer during that period of time.

Of all the non-relatives who have passed, I knew Bill the best and will miss him the most. We were friends for nearly 60 years. He was one of the finest men I ever knew.
