Not sure what to say?

What a wonderful and amazing life your father had! The relationship between Bill and Frances and my family (Wiese) is long and treasured. The thing I will always remember most about Bill is the way his eyes could sparkle and light up when he was talking to you. He always truly connected with people and they felt loved and respected. My best to all of you, and a kiss for Frances.

(to finish my thoughts...) Pat and Steve you are both two of the finest people people I have known. Take comfort in knowing your dad's battle is done and he is at peace. Sending love and prayers your way,
Peggy Swanstrom

Words do not come easy at this difficult time but we want you to know you are in our thoughts.

Enjoyed your dads many stories at the Bennion reunions. I especially remember him telling us how he climbed up the mast when something needed repair. The ship would roll from side to side and he could nearly touch the water. Iam sure many shipmates on deck were praying for his safety. Your dad will be missed by many and we are happy to have known him.

"Hugs" to your...

What a wonderful and full life your father had. My father passed away in May and I am sure your father and mine are exchanging stories of WWII.

I have many fond memories of your parents as neighbors in Spenard. Your dad's practical advice for the neighborhood was priceless.....

My deepest sympathy for your loss.

Oh Pat, this is a wonderful memorial to your dad. I wonder if our fathers ever kabitzed about the war and mechanical stuff over the alley in Spenard.

Pat, I saw your father's obituary in the paper. What a full life he had! He not only had a front row seat to history, he was an integral participant in our history. He was a member of The Greatest Generation.

I'm saying a prayer for you & your family. I know no matter how old you are, it is so hard to lose a parent.

Thinking of you,
Tanya
( Hi to Jim)

No wonder Bill's generation was called "The Greatest Generation." Everything Bill did, he did with excellence and integrity. I will always have the deepest respect for Bill.
