Not sure what to say?

My sympathy to all of Bill's family and friends. What a wonderful man he was.

I knew Bill because we served in the Navy at the same time - both at the Officers Candidate School and aboard the U.S.S. Hancock.

Bill was bright and a very effective leader. He was fun to be around and I learned many things from him. Not the least was how to improve my tennis game. But, not enough to win a game.

I will never forget his ever present humor when one day he said he...

I was Bill's assistant at Severson & Werson and always appreciated his wisdom and world knowledge. To the Family - He was a great man and I am thankful to have crossed paths with him. My prayers are with you.

Bill was a lovely man -- bright, dedicated and with a wicked sense of humor that left a lasting impression on all who met him. It was truly a pleasure and privilege to know Bill. Sally, my deepest sympathy to you and your children.

Bill was a lovely man - bright, dedicated and with a wicked sense of humor. He will surely be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Sally, my deepest sympathy to you and your children.

Judge McGivern was an outstanding member of the legal profession My condolences to his family that he deeply loved. He lead an exemplary life. Ret. Judge Gary Thomas

I served under Mr. McGivern at the U.S. Attorney's Office, where he was a man of passion: for the law, for justice, and above all, for the lawyers and staff who worked with and for him. I am sad to hear of his death from complications of a disease that has taken away far too many others. I hope that those reading this will join me in contributing to the family's selected charity or another organization involved in the research and public awareness of Alztheimer disease.

Bill was a talented advocate, a wonderful guy to work with, and a fine Judge. There can be no doubt that he is now discharging his duties -- hopefully light and pleasant ones -- in his new station, well and faithfully .

I was a classmate of Bill's at Whitefish Bay High School -- Class of '57. My memories of Bill are totally positive and I am not the least bit surprised that he had a long and honorable career with many significant contributions to our beloved nation. His life is one that certainly deserves celebration. God Bless You All!
