Not sure what to say?

I loved my Dad so very much! He meant the world to me! He was the best husband, son, brother, Dad, Papa and friend there ever was! He always looked on the bright side and for the best in people, and in the world. He was a great cook, writer, speaker, comedian, and optimist. He was easy going and fun loving with a smile and a kind word for everyone. He opened his heart to all that he met, and everyone that knew him loved him. He was the kindest, gentlest, funniest, and most loving...

Twelve of the happiest years of my professonal life were those when I was associated with Bill Meeks at McCune Hiaasen. Bill was good to me in so many respects that many would be surprised to learn. In the late '70's I had a serious operation on my right leg which hospitalized me for a few weeks then left me on crutches for months. Bill either visited my hospital room or called me every day. Then once released he picked me up for work each day as I could not drive. Years later I was...

Words cannot express how much he was loved, how much he will be missed, and how blessed we were to know him. For those of us who had the privilege to call him our "Papa," we will cherish our memories of him--his smile, his laugh, holding his hand--forever.

I am very honored to have had the pleasure of working for Mr. Meeks. Grateful to Mr. Meeks for all he did for me as a young man growing up. Mr. Meeks and my father grew up together in Alexandria. Mr. Meeks was a year ahead of him in school.
He would call my father on a regular basis and sometimes they'd have lunch, just to catch up. Those simple chats and visits meant the world to my dad, I sure hope he knew that.
It seems right to me that when I think about Mr. Meeks, a smile and...

In Loving Memory of William H. Meeks II

To all that look upon these words, I thank you for being here and I share in your sorrow of the passing of William H. Meeks II, a truly wonderful human being. He was not only a great and successful man, but also a caring and compassionate father and a mentor to all on so many levels.

For many years now, I wanted to make sure my grandfather knew what he meant to me and how much I loved him. It became clear to me in the last...

I just wanted to say that I am thinking about you and your wonderful family. I have the fondest memories of your father. As a child growing up in your neighborhood, your father was one adult I enjoyed being around. I remember him to be easy to communicate with. He was truly young at heart and I still remember his warming smile. I always felt your dad and mom were the perfect couple - so handsome together. What a wonderful family.

We have such fond pleasant memories of "Mr. Meeks". Jimmy will never forget the phone calls on his dad's birthdays that meant so much and the great opportunity to enter the Printing Industry and learn from the "truck, warehouse, office and sales".
Dave appreciates the opportunity provided by "Mr Meeks" to expand in sales and today uses much of what Bill taught through example in his own business.
Both of us will miss a dear mentor, friend, gentleman and most of all , a man that...

Dear Meeks Family: I have such fond memories of "Mr. Meeks". He was always such a wonderful father and grandfather! Always a calming influence, compassionate and extremely interesting. He made the BEST pancakes! I feel blessed to have known him and wish his entire family peace and comfort during this difficult time. He will be so missed.
