Not sure what to say?

Bill was a model physician and wonderful guy. He´d show late at our service chief meetings at the New Orleans VA and would immediately say something hilarious and deeply insightful. He is missed. Love to Mary Elise, Harry

I still can't get over his demise. He was witty sympathetic, supportive supervisor at VA New orleans . Please count me in your grieving needs. Through Akula foundation we are able to do a video of his pictures with some songs in the background he enjoyed on YouTube. Please let me know if you have any interest. Truly Shiva Akula

It was truly a pleasure to work for him at the New Orleans VA. His work ethic was an inspiration to all of us. A man of few words, sitting at his computer typing away, he was upbeat and positive with his employees. My heart goes out to you Mary-Elise, your sons and grandchildren. Thank you for this bio of his life!

My deepest condolences to Mary-Eliese, Frank, Charles, and the rest of the Merrill Family. Bill was one of the kindest men I have ever known. He was generous to a fault. Were we all so. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Thank you all for your thoughts and memories. They are very appreciated by all of us.

Dr. Merrill hired me in 1986 as a clerk typist. This was a great group. He had a very powerful and contagious laugh. He was admired and well respected by all. My condolences to his family.

Dr. Merrill was one of the nicest doctors I ever worked with at the Charleston VA. He will be truly missed.
