Not sure what to say?

I JUST HEARD OF BILLS' PASSING. SORRY TO HAVE MISSED THE CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE. I'LL NEVER FORGET HIS PHONE CALL TO ME IN 1968 OFFERING ME THE JOB OF P.E. TEACHER, ASS'T FOOTBALL COACH AND HEAD BASKETBALL COACH. A DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME. I ACTUALLY FOLLOWED IN HIS FOOTPRINTS AS TEACHER, COACH, ATHLETIC DIRECTOR AND VICE-PRINCIPAL OVER THE YEARS. HE WAS TRULY AN INSPIRATIONAL MENTOR. HIS COACHING AND ATHLETIC KNOWLEGE WAS ONLY SURPASSED BY HIS ATTRIBUTES AS A PERSON. MY MOST SINCERE...

Mr. Messer exuded class and grace. He will forever be intertwined with my memory of PVRS, and so appropriate the gym bears his name. He had a life well lived with friends and family.

Thinking of you at this difficult time. Sending prayers. Blessings, Jason and Joelle Deane

Thank you to Mr. Messer. Your guiding hands were there. Your voice was reassuring and honest. Your example was like a lighthouse, and it shone on very many of us.

Bill was like a second father to me growing up, always there to lend and ear and provide advice. He was in WWII like my father, always understated, but would do anything for anyone who needed help. He instilled a sense of duty in everyone to whom he had contact with, to work hard for the greater good with a steadfast commitment to PVRS, his community, church and to physical education. Just a salt of the earth guy with old world values and PVRS's greatest supporter of athletes.... a truly...

Many memories of Mr Messer, always a presence in the PVRS gym. What a wonderful life!

Bill Messer was truly one of a kind. Always a pleasure to be with and his love of family and friends was clear. Spending time with Coach was always a learning life lesson. Family first. What a life. Amazing man.

I will never forget Mr. Messer. He was such a good human and I am so grateful for having been able to know him. Thank you Mr. Messer for your Kindness and guidance throughout my high school years. Always a smiling face throughout the years. You were one of the best. RIP Mr. Messer . . Lots of Love, huggs and prayers to his family . . . .

He was such a special gentle man who raised a wonderful family. They all possess his gentle soul and helpful manner in all they do. What a testament to his character. I will miss our monthly visits.
