Dr. Michener was the immediate past chair of the Education Institute when I began working at Cleveland Clinic. He remained committed to education throughout his career even after leaving the post of chair. He was greatly missed when he retired. He will be remembered for his gentle smile, compassion for his patients and support for residents and students. Sincere condolences to his family.
