MICKENS, Deacon William Archie, 73, of Ruther Glen, Va., entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 22, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca W. Mickens; three sons, Steward (Debra), William (Glenda), Ronnie (Shamette); one daughter, Sandra (Richard) Smith; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; four brothers, James, Reid (Marion), Raphael (Madeline) and Charles (Hazel); one aunt, Mary Moss; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest with the Owens Funeral Services, 104 Green Chimneys Ct., Ashland, Va. 23005. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Doswell, Va. Rev. William Archer officiating. Interment church cemetery. Remains will lie in state one hour prior to the service. www.owensfuneralservices.com
