William H. Miller, Jr., 87, of Wind Gap, Northampton County died surrounded by his family on May 27, 2021 in Westerville, Ohio.


Born in Hackettstown, New Jersey in 1934, he was the son of the late William H. Miller, Sr. and the late Ethel S. Miller (Marsh).


Bill was married for 43 years to the late Lucretia G. Miller (Parry) and seven years to the late Clara Miller (Heckman). He is survived by a brother, Eugene Miller of Bangor and Sandra Rasley of Warren County, New Jersey.


Known as “Pop” to all of his family, Bill was the father of the late Billie Lou Bellis (Miller) and survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. William H. Miller, III, and wife Shelley of Westerville, Ohio. He is survived by six grandchildren, Kristen Husack, Megan Stroble, and Sarah Worthman, all of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Shawn Bellis of Bangor, Pennsylvania, Sarah Bellis of Wind Gap, Pennsylvania, and Stephanie Vold of Boise, Idaho. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.


Bill worked as a structural steel fabricator during his career and in retirement, worked as a custodian with the Bangor Area School District.


He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Korean War from 1953-1957 aboard the USS Yorktown. 


He was a member of the East Bangor United Methodist Church.


Funeral services will be held, Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 11 AM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl, PA.  There will be viewing hours, Friday, beginning at 6 PM until 8 PM and Saturday, beginning at 10 AM until time of services all at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Heartland Hospice Services, 6500 Busch Blvd, Suite 21, Columbus, OH 43229.
