Mr. Miller was one of my favorite teachers. We looked forward to his class because it was different, interesting and he brought out different points of view and no answer was wrong. I remember he and Mr. Strauss (my home room teacher) used to jog around South High every day and I remember him being a really good umpire for our baseball games. Condolences to his family he will be missed.

Bill was my best friend for more than 50 years. He was a fantastic friend who shared so many special moments. We shared teaching, coaching, traveling, taking our students on international trips, attending social events, subbing & playing tennis. He was like a brother & provided guidance to so many important matters. His knowledge & insight was a profound characteristic that few people are blessed to have. For everyone who knew him like I knew him we all benefited from sharing our lives. I...

The first day of English class with Mr. Miller was special and eye-opening. He had us in a circle and engaged us from day one. I´ve never had a teacher that took command and started engaging us to think critically and respectfully with each other. Mr. Miller was organized, demanded self discipline, and everyone´s thoughts and opinions were not tossed aside. He was definitely a teacher who cared about his students. I admired him and didn´t realize all the things he had accomplished in his life...

Mr. Miller is the only teacher I remember from my senior year of high school. I appreciate the positive impact on my life he unknowingly made.
