Bill was every where. School crossing guard, at thr dump ground, just being Bill Slightly irratiing. Great musican, carried on in the family. Not afraid to cuss the preacher. Bill was a most interesting man of diverse background and interests. He would recite the old school poems with my mother then mumble about how she badgered him until he played the autoharp in church. We had a relationship of give and take with whopper stories. He got me involved as a crossing guard by the old school. Need more like him to do what has to be done. Rev. Stan Gruneich

Bill was one of the town "characters". He always has something going, yet in the middle of it all he was helping someone. He was a wonderful visit, he made the Flandreau a better place. He was so nice I was sure he was a Presbyterian. I miss him.
