Georgia: I am deeply saddened to learn of Bill's passing, and am very sorry that I was unable to be with you Saturday at his memorial service (I was in Bellevue, WA visiting my 92 year-old father). You know how special Bill was to me - as a golf partner and as a mentor during my career at AGC. I will miss him greatly and hope that you are doing okay knowing that his tremendous faith has him in good hands, Hope I can visit with you during one of my upcoming trips to Bend. You take care. ...

Bill and Georgia became great neighbors to us when we moved to Bend in 2000. They were almost like grandparents to our kids. Bill was quite a character and his funny sense of humor was always something I could count on. I know that he did a lot of good in this world and he will be missed by many.

I knew Bill first in Milwaukie OR in connection with Young Life, then became friends through our son Gary Lewis when we all went to South Africa together in 2005. I loved getting to know Bill and made friends with him on that trip. I respected his faith and his charitable giving and character.

Having went to High School with Bill, and enjoyed his company in the "Hot Rod" car life. He always had great enthusiasm for any activity he tried.
Also rode dirt bikes back when with Bill.
Good Man, gone to soon.

I was one of the 100 employees that Bill & Chuck Moe had at one time. I appreciated working for them and the effort they put forth for their employees. My wife and I were treated to a weekend at Salishan Resort, compliments of W.G. Moe & Sons. That was a first for us. A lot of people benefited from their generosity.
Prayers for Bill's Family as they deal with his passing and their loss in days to come.
