Rest In Peace Billy, You will be missed by All. Peggy Taylor.

To all of Billy's family and friends, I am sorry for your loss. I was Billy's next door neighbor and friend for nearly 20 years. He was a kind gentleman and I will miss him. He was a good friend of my father's as well...the first time I met Billy, he and my dad rescued me from being stuck in a snowstorm. He had that big old Jeep and he drove us all the way up snowy Monte Sano so we could get home safely. I'm glad I have so many fond memories of him.

Remembering our classmate Billy

I have known Billy most of my life and he was a good friend of my mother's for several years. I regret that Mom and I could not attend his funeral and send him off, but we will miss him for sure. He was truly one of a kind. When I read that he passed, my first thought was of him singing "Polly wally doodle all day" years ago at my house. I have a lot of Billy Monroe stories, but for some reason that stood out. Our condolences to you also Paula. We are thinking of you. Oh yeah, and War Eagle,...

I knew Billy well enough to know he would not want us morning his loss however, my heart is heavy and I will always remember our duck and goose hunting trips to North Dakota, his deep southern voice and always friendly wit and humor. I will miss you Billy Muns!

We loved you for many years, you were one of the greatest. Margaret (Peggy Schwarze)

Not only did we lose a true southern gentleman, we lost an Auburn Man that lived the Auburn Creed "I believe in honesty and truthfulness, without which I cannot win the respect and confidence of my fellow men. " War Eagle Billy!

A true Southern Gentleman and a loyal friend. Condolences to his friends and family, the world was a better place because of Billy.
