William Alfred "Buddy" Mossbarger Jr.

My sincere condolences to the Mossbarger family. My wife saw Bill's obituary in the Lexington Herald-Leader. We now live in North Las Vegas, NV and thus could not attend his visitation nor his funeral. Bill was an outstanding engineer and engineering leader. He knowledge and humor will be missed by all who knew him. I knew Buddy very well from back in the early 1960's. He was an outstanding athlete, he played center field on the church softball team and was the center on the church basketball team. He was a good friend and a wonderful person in general. He will be missed by all that knew him.

We have lost a great man. I was fortunate to work for FMSM and learn from him. Bill had presence, that mat of gray hair, his size, and his integrity and reputation was so impressive to all of us. His word was chiseled in stone, and you could be sure it was correct. He could get the best out of people and when you got a smile out of him, it was to be treasured. I remember Bill teaching me how to make mud pies and bake them in the oven at their offices on Virginia Ave. in 1966 or 1967. A great man that will be missed by many!!
