I went to St Phillp Neri with Bill
We were best friends as we grew up in lower southeast Portland. I remember when Bill lost his Mother when we were in grade school and how difficult it was for his Dad, his brothers and sisters. Bill went to Central and went to Cleveland. Our lives went diffent directions but Bill will always be first Best Friend!!

I went to grade school with a Bill Murphy at St Thomas More grade school. We "graduated" in 1959 and most of our class went to Jesuit Hi, except for Bill. We were good friends at STM, and I remember Bill as sort of a rebel - not into sports, nor a "cool" guy (like the jocks) -I was more like Bill. I lost contact with him when he went to Central Catholic, and I hope he had a good life, filled with the humor I remember and the joy with his family that I also remember.

My first job out of College was with Freightliner in the early 1970's. Bill was one of the first that I met and worked with. A true gentleman and a great co-worker. For years interacted with Bill, as His forte was "Materials" and moved on to sell aluminum products. Always fair, Billl was great to deal with.
