William P. "Bill" Murphy

Bill Murphy had a great impact on my life. As a graduate student I was helped by Bill and the Purdue University Speech Clinic in addressing my stuttering. Bill was especially influential in helping me accept my stuttering, learn about my stuttering mechanics and achieve a significant amount of fluency. My wife, Gail (Cutsforth) Kamrath, was on staff with Bill for a few years. We are grateful to have known Bill as a dear friend. Job well-done BBBB-Bill! Love, BBBB-Bob and Gail Kamrath

My condolences to Bill's family, friends and colleagues and everyone who knew and loved Bill. He taught us empathy in his Stuttering/Dysfluency class for people who stutter, which spilled over to all who experienced communication disorders. For that, I and so many of his Purdue SLHS students will be forever grateful. Drew and I always enjoyed running into Bill years after we graduated. May he Rest in Peace.

I went to Columbus with MMMMurf. I didn't get to know till heats later, and deeply regret that. My brother and I shared many breakfast at the old 60s diner over the years. Just last month we visited and went to breakfast, cuz it was his turn to buy. I'm gonna miss mommy good friend safe travels and hope you make it back to Guttenburg. SSSSSSlick
