Not sure what to say?

I never knew "Piston" but I know Erin, and for that reason, know I would have loved him, may he rest in peace

I am so saddened to read my dear old friend Bill's obituary. Our time together at ISU was fun to the nth degree. I'll keep him in my prayers, along with his family. Michael J. Whelan.

Bill was like a father to me. His daughter Erin and I were thick as thieves growing up, and I think I was over at the Myers house more than my own during the summer months. A few, of many, memories include him listening to the oldies, tinkering in the basement, camping in the summer, and him having the worst French accent - but that accent never failed to make me smile. Bill will forever have that twinkle in his eye (you know the one I'm talking about). He is missed dearly. Love, Col

bill and his wife on vacation was one of the most memorable people Ive ever met and will never forget

Billy Meyers was one of kind - funny, serious, loved by all who knew him. I am so sorry for your loss. He was behind me a couple of years in high school. Got to know & see him again while he was in Rock Falls. Margo and family - you captured all of him in the obit. Thank you for reminding all of us of who he will always be in our hearts and memories. Freddie (Friedenbach) Preston

I met Bill during his retirement years. He was a very nice man who always was sincere and engaging in conversation and who owned a bright, warm smile. Prayers and thoughts to Margo and family.

So very sorry for your loss, Margo Nill was a precious man. Your neighbor, Jan Calsyn

A wonderful person! Always had a kind word for everyone. My sympathies to the family. Becky Berentes Anderson RFHS Class of 1987

He was my grandfather (I was the oldest grandson). He was a terrific grandfather and just a gentle sweet (and more importantly) funny guy. Even with Alzheimer's his humor never went away. I will miss him
