Not sure what to say?

I just happened to see the obituary online and wanted to express my sincere sympathy to the family. My parents were Jack and Leila Toothill and were so fond of Ethel and Bill. I last heard from him when he wrote a lovely letter to me after the passing of my parents in June and July of 2006.

We were fortunate to have known and worked
with Bill and Ethel while they lived here.
We will miss the contact and friendship.
They live on in our memories.

As a 27 year old I had the honor to work for Bill Nagel when he directed the PA Council for Human Services. It changed my attitude about public service. Bill's innovative and compassionate appproach to state government guided me for the rest of my 38 year career in public service and in subsequent positions directing a foundation and statewide program.

Mr. Bill was a wonderful, compassionate man. I had the privledge of serving with Mr. Bill on the North Myrtle Beach Planning Commission for 4 years; and he was very instrumental in helping me get elected to the North Myrtle Beach City Council. This Great Man will truly be missed by all.Thank you Mr. Bill for being a part of my life.
