William Harrison “Bill” Nagley, age 86, of Winchester, Virginia, died Saturday, June 30, 2007 at his home.

Mr. Nagley was born in 1921, in Frederick County, Virginia, a son of the late Elijah P. and Minnie P. Nagley. He was a plant manager for National Fruit Products in Winchester until his retirement. Mr. Nagley operated his own airport transportation service for years to many Winchester businesses and individuals and had worked part-time as a greeter for Omp’s Funeral Homes. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the E.T. Clark Men’s Bible Class, the Winchester Host Lions Club, the Winchester Moose Lodge, the Winchester American Legion, a life member of the Millwood Fire and Rescue Squad, a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Air Force and the Air Force Reserves for over 20 years.

His wife, Clara Maye Nagley, whom he married on March 28, 1946 in Winchester VA, preceded him in death on August 13, 2001.

He is survived by three children, Nancy Lee Felicio of Winchester, Virginia, Lois May Hancock of Jackson, Georgia, and Richard Eugene Nagley of Fort Garland, Colorado; a sister, Elizabeth Catherine Renninger of Winchester, Virginia, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A sister, Marilyn Marie Snapp, and a brother, Robert Ames Nagley, preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Rev. George Fletcher and Rev. Eugene Hancock officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park with Military Honors accorded by VFW Post 2123 of Winchester.

Pallbearers will be Gene Hancock, Albert Felicio, Jr., Albert Felicio, III, Brian Gentry, Cassondra Williams, Angela Felicio, Larry Boppe and Lee Boppe. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Winchester Host Lion’s Club.

The family will receive friends at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
