I'm so saddened by this news. Bill was a wonderful person, whom I felt honored to know. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and loved ones. May you always have fair winds and following seas, Bill!

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Over the past couple years I spent several early mornings with him down by the dock at the Brock Center. I very much enjoyed talking with him as he shared his knowledge of marine life and stories of the sea with me. Photo from 7/21/2023. He will be missed.
