William "Bill" Nowlin

I'm was so sorry to hear of Uncle Bill's passing, the last time I saw him was on a visit to Redding in July of 2004, He and Aunt Lou were still in their house, my daughter Jennifer and son Bret along with 3 grandchildren stopped by and had a great visit recalling the past, relatives, incidents all kinds of things. I'm sorry to learn of his passing. I would never have known about it, except that I received a Google Alert this morning since Google searches for items regarding "Bill Nowlin" - a name we shared. I see there is also a Bill III, and a Bette. My mother's name was Betty (given name, not a nickname). There's a coincidence there.

I have read of a couple who live in Austin, TX who are named Bill and Betty Nowlin.

It sounds like "your" Bill lived a long life.
