Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Bill's passing from my Mother, who saw the obituary in the Stevens Point paper. I have many memories of Bill through my close and continuing friendship with all of the O'Neil boys. (The most notable might have been a little cruising in Bill's Corvette, not sure of the year...but it made me resolve to forever drive a stick.) Long may you run, Bill.

I wish to express my sincere condolences to Billy and Brian for the loss of your father. He was such an inspiration and help to me throughout the years and I will miss your dad greatly!

The last time I saw Bill, he stopped by my mother's with a sports car he had bought. We took pictures of her poodle behind the wheel and Bill joked "the dog drove better than he did"! That was Bill, always making time for his friends. And always sharing a warm smile and kind words. It was a pleasure having him be a part of our lives. Friends, true ones, are hard to find. And that was Bill.

Bill and I were friends at Pacelli HS. I have a lot of good memories from that time. I am so sorry for your loss.

Bill showed great courage and fortitude and left his sons with the knowledge that he truly loved them and were proud of them. I thank you Bill for great sons Bill and Brian and thank you for teaching me how to read blueprints and understand plumbing specs "It all goes downhill" just as we do! See ya Bub! -Kid

Although I have many memories with Uncle Bill one stands out in my mind that is so fresh. I am a true blue cowgirl just like Uncle Bill is a cowboy. On Christmas Eve at Grammy's house Uncle Bill told me that he had a surprise for me out in the trunk of his car and we all rushed out to see what it might be. When he opened the trunk much to my surprise was his beautiful roping saddle along with everything else I might need to become a REAL cowgirl. I will never forget the gift he gave me not...

One of our favorite memories of Bill was when he took our son Matt, who was 3 at the time, out to one of his worksites, gave him a yellow construction helmet, and let him climb into all the big construction vehicles. At the end of the day he told us he wanted to be a "worker-man" like Uncle Bill when he grew up!
We loved Bill and we see so many of his great qualities in his sons whom we love and admire very much!
