Dear Rosalie, It was wonderful to see you in Deerfield the other week. I got this message from legacy and decided to contact you this way as I don't have an email. Mine is [email protected] if you ever want to get in touch. It's hard to believe it's been 11 years since Fred's passing. Although time does heal all wounds, I know you must miss him terribly. Both of you were a tremendous support to me during my time in Hadley and at South Church. You will always have a special place in my...

Fred or Mr. O, as I usually called him, was a man among men and one of the finest gentlemen I've ever met. He exemplified why his is the "Greatest Generation". I will miss him dearly.

Dearest Rosalee, I am so sorry to hear of Fred's death. He was a wonderful man and all of us who had the honor of knowing him were greatly blessed by his generosity of spirit. You have never been far from my thoughts and prayers these past years, but I will continue to hold you there as you grieve the loss of your husband, partner and friend. With every blessing. Fred was my neighbor in Hadley for close to 10 years. He was a fine gentleman and his contributions in the community were exceptional. He was probably one of the most decent and caring individuals I have ever known. Having an opportunity to witness his unselfish actions on behalf of others was truly inspiring.

Frank and I only knew Fred for a very short number of years. It was a pleasure and honor to be in his company. He was a wonderful, kind, considerate, loving man.
We will miss him. We always particularly enjoyed receiving his gracious notes at Christmas.
