Read MoreMy sympathy for your loss as I am remembering the days at Hampden Sydney, the beginning of an integrated nursery school in your house in Prince Edward County that was later Log Cabin Nursery School, now being remembered as a historic site, and also remembering the efforts to reopen and fund public schools in the county. Your spirit lived on after you moved to other fields of endeavor.

II loved visiting with Dr. & Mrs. Odom at Kirby Pines with my therapy dogs, Dutch & Batman. We fell in love with both of them instantly, and I was always so struck by Dr. Odom's gentleness, kindness and wisdom!! Just wish I had had the honor of knowing him longer - I could have learned SO much more from this fabulous gentleman!!!
