Mr. Oliver was my sons teacher at Ardenwald. He was a great teacher and really went the extra mile for my son. I am sorry for the loss of a great teacher and send my condolences to the family.

Mr. Oliver was one of my favorite teachers at Concord Elementary. I was there in the early 80s. I remember him starting class each day by reading to us from a story book. He might have read from others, but the ones I remember were by Thornton W. Burgess. It was my favorite part of the day.

So sad to lose such a vibrant person. I remember all the special times growing up--even seeing your family when we went to Disneyland when I was young. As a teacher, I know how much that he gave to the world. Bill, you will be so missed. Wish that I could travel to your services, but the distance is too far. Terri, Claire, and Joan you are so much in my thoughts and prayers.

Being an Oliver was pretty important growing up and all holidays were full to the bream with family events. Lost contact for a few years after growing up and moving away. Visited with Bill recently when I was in Portland. Spent time just talking about past times, it was like the years between contact were not there. Bill was the same happy go lucky cousin I remembered. All of a sudden we realized that we had been shooting the bull for hours. I know he is sitting on a stool overlooking Kauai...
