Not sure what to say?

UTC football practice,1980-81 ish? Coach Oliver built him a tower so he could see better ( like down in T-town). we had a teammate that could literally fly, but as Coach Oliver said," that guy couldn't catch a cold!"...One play this particular teammate ( I won't name) was flying down the sideline, wide open. Our outstanding QB threw him the ball, which he promptly dropped...Coach came running out of tower screaming," someone go get him a damn laundry basket !' ...." I bet he can't even catch...

Met Coach Oliver while I was being recruited at BAMA. When he took the uTC job,he called me,and I went on to play at UTC for him and Coach Dubose for the next 4 years! Coach Oliver was a fantastic Coach, and an even better man! He will be missed ! Go Mocs ! Roll Tide !

RIP Brother , you will be missed, I always enjoyed running into you and stopping to chat , we had some laughs and I'm thinking of your family in this time.

As a high school friend I followed Bill´s many successes. Brother was not only a tremendous athlete, but he was a very nice person. He will be remembered as one of the best athletes to come from Livingston High school. My sincerest condolences go to the entire Bill (Brother) Oliver family. Charles Lyon
