Not sure what to say?

Bill was HumRRO's president when I joined the organization late in 1990. I remember him as a soft-spoken but highly effective leader, and had the pleasure of joining him on a golf outing or two in addition to working for him through a good part of the '90s. My condolences to the loved ones he leaves behind.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing, but what a wonderful life he led! Bill was president of HumRRO (where I have worked for 33.5 years) when I joined. We very well might not exist as an organization had he not guided us through a very difficult period in the early 90s (just I was hired, as it turns out). Bill established in my mind what HumRRO was intended to be. He is someone I wish everyone could have met. A great part of the HumRRO legacy is now gone.

I am proud...

Group of 10 Trees

Bill was my first boss, my best boss, and as good a friend as I have had. Our shared fondness for the novel Lonesome Dove reminds me of the epitaph for Josh Deets: Cheerful in all weathers. Never shirked a task. Splendid behavior.

Bill was an extraordinary person, and I am so sad that I did not have a chance to to celebrate his life. He was the kindest, most thoughtful, compassionate person I have ever known and think of him very often. I really did love Bill and will always think of him kindly and never forget him. The world was a better place with Bill, and we all lost a dear friend and colleague. Jack McKay.

I was so very sorry to hear of Bill's/ your dad's passing. He and I were work colleagues and friends. He was very important to me and I was sad to lose touch with him a few years ago. But he valued his privacy especially as he aged. There's no one I've respected more and that is saying a lot. Bill made this world a better place. My sincere condolences to his kids, grandkids, and June.
