Not sure what to say?

Thank you Mr. Pappas for great Wildcat memories! Your student, Richard James Stoddard Class of 1974

A quietly outstanding educational leader. The environment he built at Northview High School in the late 1980s and early 1990s was something that was then taken for granted, but which I have come to appreciate more and more as time has gone by. He is missed, but his spirit lives on in all of the lives he impacted.

After reading an article in the NYT today about how teachers are under appreciated across the world, I thought of my favorite teacher at Mt. Clemens High, Mr. Pappas. He had a profound affect on the direction of my life. I Googled him and found this obituary. He had a big heart and was genuinely kind. I'm honored and lucky to have been his student.

I knew Biil when we both taught at Mt. Clemens High School he was a wonderful teacher and person who always shared ides of what worked in his classes As an administrator he was
fair and treated everyone with respect. It was a pleasure to have
known and worked with him

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I was back in Grand Rapids when a friend told me. He was a great leader and a great man.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Pappas family. He was my mentor and mentor to so many, friend and outstanding educator. I will never forget the good times we had after Northview basketball games or the NCA visits we had to numerous schools around the state,
Bill always had time to listen to your questions and was always there for you
Rest in peace!

My fondest memories of Mr. Pappas were seeing him interact with the students! He always seemed to genuinely enjoy being among the students during school hours and after hours at special events. He was always loyal to being present at football games, basketball games, etc. He took pride in "his" school and was a great role model for each of us! It was great to see you, Laurie and Mrs. Pappas at the memorial gathering. RIP Mr. Pappas. Praying for you, Laurie and your mom during this very...

Bill was a surrogate father figure to me when I desperately needed one. Later, he cheered on every victory and accomplishment I had as an adult. I feel blessed to have known him and to have had him as a mentor. Deepest condolences to his family.

Bill was one of those people who motivated others to be more than they thought possible. I am so grateful for his mentoring, the many opportunities he created, and his supportive influence on my life.
