Not sure what to say?

We are so sorry we were not able to pay our respects to such a wonderful man.
Please accept our heartfelt sympathies.

Words cannot describe the hurt in my heart in the loss of my brother Bill. I have been so blessed to have such a wonderful, caring and much loved brother not just by me but by many, which not only describes the kind of brother he was but the kind of man, father, friend and human being he was. He had a heart bigger then himself, and loved all that he had done in life. I pray that God keeps him in his loving arms and proctects him and his family. i'm so sorry to hear about Bill. He was always a gentleman. He had so many friends at FDU and he will not be forgotten. Carolyn Mudd Doherty

To say "I'm sorry." is just not enough. My heartfelt sympathy to all of the Payne family. I worked with Bill in West Caldwell for several years. He was always kind, fair. In addition to being a loving grandfather and father. I cannot believe he is gone. The end of an era.

In loving memory of a wonderful Uncle. We will love you and miss you always. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family in this time of sadness. Love Always, Pauline

I believe this is the same Bill Payne who worked for the Montclair Board of Education prior to his stint with the chamber of commerce. I was the Newark Evening News Montclair reporter in the 1960s, so I got to know him well. In addition to being helpful to a young reporter, Bill was a wonderful person. I was sad to see this online this morning

God bless the Payne Family. Our prayers are with you and for Bill. May he rest in peace.

His legacy to his community lives on on and will inspire generations to come.

I shall always remember his smile matched by his dedication to his family, country and his community. We are enriched by his life and his contributions for the betterment of society and quality of life for all in West Essex.
God bless all.
