Over many years I have been a customer of the Catholic Shop in Norristown. For years Bill strongly insisted that he carry heavy boxes of votive candles to my car. He started to call me the candle lady. The last time he called me in to pick up two boxes of the candles, he let me carry the boxes. Bill Peffley is (not was) the very essence of what it means to be a true Catholic man. His legacy in the greater Philadelphia area will live on for years to come. His empathy, love and service to the needy and homeless in Norristown at the Legion of Mary Brother House is now a jewel in his eternal crown.
