Not sure what to say?

i knew him as a good friend and as a soldier for over 10 yrs.

We are sad to hear of the passing of such a great American patriot.
We had been blessed with the opportunity to have his memory in our hearts,
We send our love and prayers to Bill's beautiful family.
We love you all. Rick, Shannon and Zachary.

Bill Pendleton was outstanding in football and wrestling. Bill was a warrior in both sports. I was proud of his military career and his many accomplishments. I had the plleasure of renewing our friendship when he was Garrison Commander at Fort Bragg and I was serving as Chairman of Cumberand County Commissioners. Prayers and love go to Sheryl and his entire family. Coach Bob Lewis

Many things to say about this American hero. In 1993, he came by my office with a thoughtful condolence card to comfort me when my mother passed away due to liver cancer. He was the GC and I was a very junior grade GS 07. This was even more special because he was just returning to work after his cancer treatment. He was the consummate joke/story teller and had such warmth and charisma that he easily won the respect and hearts of all he met. He loved his family, his Soldiers and all who loved...

Truly a Soldiers Soldier and one of the best I ever served with. Was proud to be his Garrison Sergeant Major.

BILL AND I PLAYED FOOTBALL TOGETHER AT NEW BERN HIGH SCHOOL. I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM. HE WAS A GOOD MAN. MAY GOD KEEP HIM.

To Bill and all of his beloved family and friends. It was an honor and privilege to spend time with him over the years. He exemplified what we need more of in our society today: Patriot, hard worker, modest, generous, and kind. The world has lost a great man. As we shed tears for Bill, we can draw comfort knowing that his spirit is with us, and will meet again in heaven.

I wanted to express my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of such a great man. His family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers

I will miss You Sir
